UOME ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using the UOME app or website at uomeapp.com, you agree to the practices described below.


1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you create an account or use UOME:

We do not collect payment card details, bank account numbers, or any sensitive financial information. UOME is a bookkeeping and bill-tracking tool — all payments are handled entirely by Venmo, PayPal, or whichever platform you choose.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's US-based infrastructure (us-west-1 region). We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls to protect your information.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

When you delete your UOME account, all of your personal data — including your profile, receipts, groups, and contact information — is automatically and permanently deleted from our systems via a cascading deletion process. This happens immediately upon account deletion and is not reversible.

Aggregated and anonymized analytics data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained for product improvement purposes.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The UOME website at uomeapp.com does not use cookies or tracking technologies. The UOME mobile app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data as described above — this is not cookie-based tracking.

7. Children's Privacy

UOME is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Users between 13 and 18 should use UOME only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of UOME after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
